Welcome to the Rhinebeck Fire Department

Rhinebeck Fire Department

The Rhinebeck Fire Department was founded in 1834 and has been an active fire department ever since. We are located in the center of the historic village of Rhinebeck, NY, situated in Dutchess County in the picturesque Hudson Valley region of New York State. Rhinebeck is home to the Dutchess County Fair, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, and an array of historic buildings such as the Beekman Arms.

Our primary response area is about 35 square miles and our response area has a population of approximately 7,500 residents in both the Village of Rhinebeck and the Town of Rhinebeck, with the Town being a mostly rural area. We have more than 60 motivated and dedicated volunteers who serve as firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), drivers, and fire police officers.
